IceWM Default Theme for Ice Window Manager 0.9.48

=================================================

Warning:
--------

This theme may not work with older or newer versions of IceWM. This is because
of the constant development of IceWM.

Installation:
-------------

If you are reading this, then you already have successfully extracted the
compressed archive. Now, make sure all the files are in their proper place.
Themes may be located in the following directories:

$HOME/.icewm/themes/
/etc/X11/icewm/themes/
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icewm/themes/
/usr/local/lib/X11/icewm/themes/

If you are just a plain user and do not have root privileges, then your install
option is in $HOME/.icewm/themes/. Otherwise, if you want everyone to be able
to access this theme, put it in one of the remaining directories.

Once you have all the files in place, you have to show IceWM that you want to
use your new theme. There are 2 methods of doing this:

1) by clicking on the theme name in the 'Themes' menu (from the Start taskbar
   button or root window - depending on your settings)

   *** NOT RECOMMENDED ***

   ...because of the serious limitation of this method! As of version 0.9.48
   IceWM theme browser does not yet support multiple theme configuration files
   for the same theme. IceWM author, Mr. Marko Macek, is going to implement it
   in the future, though.

2) by manually setting it in your 'preferences' file:

   - find the following line (the string in quotation marks may vary):

   Theme="nice/default.theme"

   - substitute your theme line with *one* of the options below:

   Theme="default/default.theme"
   Theme="default/alternative.theme"
   Theme="default/outcast.theme"
   Theme="default/modest.theme"
   Theme="default/forced.theme"

   Note: if you don't have the 'preferences' file anywhere in your path, then
   copy the one that comes with IceWM, for example:

   mkdir $HOME/.icewm
   cp /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icewm/preferences $HOME/.icewm/

forced.theme
------------

forced.theme = default.theme + preferences

This theme configuration file has the 'preferences' file embeded. If you have
hard time configuring the behaviour of IceWM you may like to try my settings.

                                                                          Enjoy!
